The Comprehensive Master PlanBuilding a Community of Choice
Welcome to the LINC web site. To the left of your screen are quick references
to adopted plans regarding Lafayette's Comprehensive Master Plan. To the right
of your screen is a schedule of public meetings with various planning committees,
including MPO committee meetings. For specific information or questions
simply click the Staff link at the top or bottom of your screen.
The LINC Comprehensive Master Plan is a long range policy document that
establishes a framework for decision making and collaboration. The plan
outlines recommendations to provide decision makers with guidance in
the hope of making Lafayette Parish a even better place to live. The
twelve elements addressed in the plan are drainage, utilities, economic
development, land-use, transportation, recreation/open space, cultural,
housing/neighborhood, urban design, public services, environmental and
special areas.
The LINC Comprehensive Master Plan was adopted by the Lafayette City-Parish
Planning Commission on September 5, 2007. This Plan is a dynamic document,
that is, it is always being amended and expanded.
