SURVEY: LUS and LCG Public Works have collaborated to get a clearer understanding of how to better assist the Lafayette community's outdoor watering needs. They are requesting Lafayette residents take a 5-minute survey that will ask questions about their outdoor watering activities. The survey will allow LUS and Public Works to determine the interest level of participants in using a rain barrel as a method for their outdoor watering.  (Click here for Survey)

The Comprehensive Master Plan

HISTORY

The LINC Steering Committee was established in 1999 by the Lafayette City-Parish Council and then met for two years. The appointments were from both the Lafayette City-Parish Planning Commission and the Lafayette City-Parish Council. The LINC Steering Committee produced a series of recommendations that were subsequently approved as part of the LINC Comprehensive Master Plan in 2007.

After the Collaboration Ordinance was passed by Council in 2009 the LINC Citizen Committee began looking at the recommendations approved in 2007 and updating them. The Land Use Framework and Implemenation Strategies was their first directive and was approved by Council in 2010. The Transporation Recommendations and Corridor Planning Process was their second document. Staff is preparing to take this document to public hearing.
