The LINC collaboration process outlines a process to move the master plan toward
implementation.
After the Lafayette City-Parish Planning Commission prepares and adopts sections
and elements of the Comprehensive Master Plan, the Lafayette City-Parish Council
receives and reviews the commission's latest actions.
In coordination with the City-Parish President, the Lafayette City-Parish
Council then prepares joint "Directives" to the LINC Implementation Committee.
These "Joint LINC Directives" identify what adopted elements in the Comprehensive
Master Plan are politically and financially appropriate.
It is ultimately the Lafayette City-Parish Council that provides resources,
establishes ordinances and policies for implementation of the Comprehensive
Master Plan.
