The Comprehensive Master Plan

Cathie Gilbert, Planner II
 
Cathie's primary responsibility is the collaboration of the LINC Comprehensive Master Plan from the LINC Citizen's Committee, to the Planning Commission, to LCG Council, and finally to the LINC Implementation Committee.

Cathie also assists with the development of the land use element and its implementation. In targeted areas Cathie also facilitates the Freetown - Port Rico and the McComb/Veazey Coteries.

Finally, Cathie is involved in the coordination effort by working with joint planning efforts between Lafayette Consolidated Government and the Lafayette Parish School System.

Sanjay Kharod, Planner II
 
Sanjay's primary responsibility is neighborhood planning, specifically those neighborhoods impacted by the future I-49 Corridor. Sanjay facilitates the La Place des Creoles Coterie and the development of a standardized neighborhood planning format with a focus on civic ecology and sustainability.

Sanjay, assists the transportation effort with his work on the bikeway plan, specifically the Atakapas Ishak Multi-Purpose Trail. He also works in collaboration with organizations interested in the establishment of a local food system that includes community gardens and a local food market.

Sanjay's main duties are as a planner with the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO).

Jeffery Leuenberger, Planner II
 
Jeffery's primary responsibility is the Land Use element of the LINC Comprehensive Master Plan. Jeff is developing both the policy document and the implementation tools.

Jeffrey assists with the neighborhood planning effort in the collection of data for community assessments and infrastructure inventory.

Cecilia Gayle, Planner II
 
Cecilia's primary responsibility is landscaping, drainage mitigation, and water quality in conjunction with the Public Works Department. Cecilia is a landscape architect and thereby assists in a number of efforts throughout the elements of the LINC Comprehensive Master Plan. These efforts include but are not limited to drainage and best management practices, expanding the tree canopy, landscaping in transportation corridors, and buffering conflicting land uses.

Allison Ackal, Planner I
 
Allison has a law degree and advises and researches many aspects of LINC planning work and legislation. Allison is responsible for the recordation of LINC Comprehensive Master Plan documents that are filed with the Clerk of Court office.

Gloria Gassiott, Planner I
 
Gloria's primary responsibility is moving the historical preservation effort forward. Gloria is active assisting the Holy Rosary Institute with their redevelopment efforts. She is also active in neighborhood planning in its efforts to preserve, protect, and identify historically significant structures and places.

Lacey Young, Planner I
 
Lacey's primary responsibility is the environment and civic ecology. The efforts toward sustainability require Lacey's input in many planning efforts including drainage, transportation, neighborhood planning, and land use.
