Proposed Financially Constrained Transportation Plan

The FCTP is a twenty year federally required improvement schedule for all transportation mode projects with identified funding sources in the Metropolitan Area (federal, state, and local). Local projects must be included if they are "regionally significant". Major arterials/thoroughfares and river crossings are considered "regionally significant" by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA). The FCTP can be reviewed and amended at any time. The MPO must prioritize the twenty year schedule of transportation improvements listed in the FCTP into 5, 10, and 20 year programs. Funding allocations, priority changes, additional projects and deletion of projects must be formally processed as required in 40 CFR Parts 51 and 93.
