Re: Lafayette North Plan Preparation

The Lafayette City-Parish Planning Commission will hold a public meeting on Thursday, December 15, 2005 at 5:30 pm at the Lafayette Holiday Inn for the purpose of initiating preparation of a Lafayette North Plan as part of the Lafayette Comprehensive Plan: Lafayette IN a Century (LINC).

You are cordially invited to this initial meeting to assist in identifying current and long term needs, problems and visioning for the specific geographic area bordered on the north by Gloria Switch Road, west and south by University Avenue and east by the Parish Line. There are a number of plans, studies and proposals prepared over the years and a couple of new pending studies involving the area. New ideas are welcome as well. The purpose of this meeting is to identify community human other resources available and help guide the formal preparation and adoption of a comprehensive plan for Lafayette North.

The Lafayette City-Parish Planning Commission will hold a special public meeting on Wednesday, February 8th , 2006 at 6:30 pm at the Lafayette Holiday Inn to continue the preparation of a Lafayette North Plan as part of the Lafayette Comprehensive Plan: Lafayette IN a Century (LINC).

You are cordially invited to this second special meeting of the Commission on the Lafayette North Plan to review programs and projects recommended and submitted to date (Reference Attachment). The purpose of this second meeting is to consider current plans and recommendations and begin establishing priorities.

The Lafayette City-Parish Planning Commission will hold a special public meeting on Thursday, April 6, 2006 at 6:00 pm at the Lafayette Holiday Inn to continue the preparation of a Lafayette North Plan as part of the Lafayette Comprehensive Plan: Lafayette IN a Century (LINC).

You are cordially invited to this third special meeting of the Commission to review programs and direction for the Lafayette North Plan. Attached with this invitation is an application form for property owners, residents and business owners interested in serving on the Lafayette North Plan Coordinating Team. The Team will be responsible for guiding the preparation of the Lafayette North Plan and providing the Commission and Council with a comprehensive plan and a schedule of implementation priorities. It is anticipated that this Coordinating Team will be meeting every two weeks to advance the process as quickly as possible.
